IoT Workplace Analytics
A network of IoT sensors and deep market knowledge, turned into a finished analytics product in 10 months — seven modules that take a client from “sensors on desks” to a decision-ready report. New domain for us, and a codebase entirely theirs to keep.

the problem
The gap between “sensors on desks” and a usable product
Tomorrow came to us with the foundations of a product, but not the product itself – the concept, the market research, and a working network of IoT sensors, yet no software to turn raw readings into something a client could act on. The challenge was twofold: integrate IoT hardware into a stable application, and translate continuous occupancy data into clear, decision-ready metrics and reports.
From concept to finished product
What we did
We took the project end to end – requirements gathering, UX, frontend, and backend. Rather than designing around someone else’s build, we owned the full stack: shaping the product with the client, then building it. We worked in the open: weekly working sessions where requirements, designs, and decisions were shaped together – not handed down as a spec for someone to guess at.
What we built
A desktop analytics application that runs the entire workflow: setting up a sensor study, collecting data from the sensor network, and reporting the results. Seven modules – a study Configurator and technician-led sensor setup, Overview, Capacity Monitoring, Reports, Recommendations, sensor & alert management, and Settings – take a client from “sensors on desks” to a finished report on how their space performs. Everything we built was Tomorrow’s to keep – the product and the codebase, theirs.

Across weekly working sessions, we shaped requirements and designs together — decisions made in the room, not handed over as a spec to guess at.

With the product direction agreed and designs in hand, we moved into building — frontend, backend, and IoT integration.

Why this project
Tomorrow’s product lived in a field we hadn’t built in before – and that’s the point. Most teams stay in their lane; we treat an unfamiliar domain as something to master, not avoid. We absorbed the client’s market knowledge, took the IoT hardware as a technical problem to solve, and turned a concept-plus-sensors into a working product.
